23 Lucky Redcliffe Seniors boarded the coach and headed off for a day out and about. A pleasant drive via Kingsford Smith Drive, through to the Legacy tunnel, into a minor traffic jam near the new Jindalee bridge construction and away out past Ipswich, Amberley Air Force Base and to a picnic area near Willowbank raceway for a most enjoyable morning tea. Our trip this month was an absolute pleasure even though the weather was wet and cold, it was very enjoyable. Stopping at Toorbul for morning tea looking across Pumicestone Passage towards Bribie Island, we were soon back on the coach! Only 22 of us headed off on our June bus trip with Brad our driver. It was overcast when we left Redcliffe, but the sun came out and blue sky as we traveled west and stayed out for the day. We travelled up to Glass House Mountains lookout for morning tea. Lovely view over the mountains and countryside all the way down to Caloundra. 31 of us set off on a very nice day for our trip up to Caloundra. We stopped for morning tea at a nice park in Landsborough before heading onto Pelican Waters for our cruise around Pumicestone Passage. We saw some big houses on the canals and all the work that had been done to shore up the northern end of Bribie Island. A lot of sand has been moved. We then enjoyed a very nice lunch at Pelican Waters Tavern before heading home. On the ferry and our lunch stop.

Leaving Redcliffe at 8:15am, we took a leisurely drive our through Kenmore and Mount Crosby on our way to Colleges Crossing Reserve for our morning tea stop. Very nice park with plenty of space, tables and grassland to please everyone. Feeling refreshed, we were taken for a drive around Ipswich and shown the sites of interest there.
