Our May bus trip took us out through Petrie with a morning tea stop at North Pine Dam wall. Then out past Dayboro and up the mountains to Mount Mee for a visit to Mathema Gallery at Ocean View. This was a very interesting place where the owners have a real love for mathematics. One section of the gallery you view the origins of mathematics we use every day that is over 3000 years old. Another section displays calculating devices from 300 BCE through to modern day. After a very interesting time at the gallery, we continue our drive along the ridge, sometimes driving through the clouds before making our way down into Woodford. Here we enjoyed a nice lunch at Woodford Gardens overlooking the garden. Lunch was lovely sandwiches, slices and fruit as well as tea and coffee. We then travelled back home via Caboolture onto the highway back to Redcliffe. Great day.
