We had 38 head off under cloudy skies at 8 AM on Friday 16 August for our trip down to the Mudgeeraba Light Horse Museum. We had good travelling with no delays arriving there at 9:40 AM to a bright and sunny day. We sat under the marquees to hear a bit about the museum and what it does and how they are trying to get more school kids involved. We had a display of horsemanship by Chris who had spent 8 years in the NSW mounted Police. He also put on a display of tent pegging using the lance and a sword. After this we had a lovely morning tea provided by Margaret from Red & White Coaches under the mango tree behind The Shed which is heritage listed. We then went into The Shed to hear some more s


48 Members attended our BBQ at the Red Cross Hall in Portwood St. It was a nice time and we celebrated one of our members 99th Birthday. Our local councillor was also in attendance to help celebrate this milestone.
