The President opened the Meeting at 10.40 am welcoming 77 members and visitors. A minute silence was held for 2 longstanding members who passed away recently. Subcommittee reports for BBQ, Dine-outs, Trips and Welfare where presented to the meeting. Next BBQ is 5th April; dine-out 12 April and there is not trip in April as its Good Friday. There were lovely scones, jam & cream for morning tea. Our councillor Koliana Winchester from Moreton Bay Regional Council provided the meeting with an interesting talk of her background in Tonga and her subsequent life on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

We ended up with 39 on our trip to Maleny and Kenilworth on Friday 15 March had a few last minute cancellations. We started out on our trip with a nice sunny and bright day. Had good travelling up the Highway and Steve Irwin Way arriving at Mary Cairncross Reserve around 9:45 AM for morning tea. We then had some time to check out the Rain Forrest Discovery Centre as well as the great view over the Glasshouse Mountains. A couple of people even managed to do the 2 Km walk through the rainforest, most of us just did the small Glider Gallery walk through the forest to the second level of the Rainforest Discovery Centre. After about 80 minutes there we were back on the coach for our scenic drive
