BRIBIE ISLAND FERRYMAN CRUISE

Friday 16 February, 30 of us headed off under clear skies but very warm and humid on our trip to Bribie Island. After a slow trip out along ANZAC Av we took the scenic drive up through the back of Burpengary and then up the old highway through Morayfield and stopped at Centenary Lakes Park on the river at Caboolture for morning tea. Once again Margaret from Red & White Coaches provided a very nice morning tea for us.

Once we were all packed up we continued on our scenic drive through Caboolture over the highway down around Beachmere arriving at the Ferryman pontoon on Bribie Island at 11:20AM ready for our 11:30 departure. Once underway the nice cool breeze started and we headed off on our 2 hour trip up Pumicestone Passage passing little township of Toorbul up to Donnybrook where we turned around looking at Little Goat Island and White Patch Beach on the way home. During the cruise we enjoyed a very nice cold meat and salads buffet lunch.

Back on the coach and over to the Seaside Museum where we could enjoy a tea of coffee that Chris (our driver) and Margaret setup for us, visit the museum or check out the local shop. After spending about an hour here we headed home arriving just before 4PM. A great day had by all.
