Brisbane River Cruise

Friday 19 August saw us undertake our 4 hour Morning Tea & Lunch "Explore up the River" Cruises on the Lady Brisbane and a great day had by all who went.

We had a dream run on the bus to Newstead Park and had a little time to explore the park before boarding. After a couple of light showers, it turn out to be a lovely day to spend on the river. We travelled up the river to St Lucia and then turned around and went down stream to the port of Brisbane under the Gateway and then back to Newstead Park. Had lovely hot muffins for morning tea and a nice cold buffet of ham, chicken with salads. We learnt there are 9 bridges crossing the Brisbane River in the city reach and the Gateway is 60 meters above the river. Everybody really enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Peter our coach driver for getting us there and back safely. Arrived back in Redcliffe around 3:15 following a slow trip home along the gateway.
